Acupuncture for Frozen Shoulder

Frozen Shoulder Exercises

Do you suffer from immobility in one of your shoulders? You may have frozen shoulder.

This is a condition I have treated through the years. It is amazing to me that thousands of
years ago, Chinese doctors correlated that a point in the opposite lower leg could open up the
qi, the energy flow to the opposite shoulder. I have people move their shoulder while
stimulating the point and often see increased movement with each treatment.

In Western medicine, frozen shoulder which is also named adhesive capsulitis, is a condition
that begins with a gradual onset of pain and a limitation of shoulder motion. The discomfort
and loss of movement can become so severe that even simple daily activities become difficult
and the shoulder joint can become non movable. Treatment can of course depend on the
physical pathology present with frozen shoulder.

I have seen frozen shoulder clear within 1 to 10 acupuncture treatments depending on the
person and as long as there is not severe physical pathology affecting the joint.
